My major is Chemistry. The first time I found it was funny in my junior high days. I was taking chemistry. I felt like the labs were so fun that I expected the classes every day. I’m interested in Chemistry Knowledge. I learned a lot of extracurricular stuff by myself.
Because I thought the knowledge on class was not enough for me. I also used to do many chemistry competitions, and did good on them. Chemistry is always my favorite subject, and it encouraged me. Everyone knows if we want to study Chemistry well, we need to study math well first. Stem and science are always related. That’s why we need to take much math and physics for the chemistry major. I came here three years ago, English was not the barrier for me. I needed to decide what I want to learn, my major. As a Chinese student, Obviously liberal art is not my strength. Science is better for me. So what I am going to choose? I asked myself this question. There are math, physics, chemistry, engineering, computer science , etc. I’m good math and I like it. But it doesn’t seem to be pretty applicable for our life. I’m not really good at physics. I don’t do engineering because there are so few girls in this major. I don’t want to always work with guys. Computer science is pretty popular and promising, but I think the computer always hurts my eyes. Finally I locked my eyes onto Chemistry. It reminded me of my glorious past. Chemistry! I always love chemistry and chemistry is so wide-used. This major is tough but very promising.
I decided I must succeed in this area in the future!
