People who live in Nacirema society are willing to hold some ceremony or ritual activities. This weird group of people do something magical about body. Some of them are crazy and painful. Especially the gleam in the eye of the holy-mouth-man. There is exactly involved in the personality of this population.
“This part of the rite includes scraping and lacerating the surface of the face with a sharp instrument” makes me even much creepier. The daily ceremonies involve discomfort and torture.
